Skin conditions like acne, moles and blackheads are due to several factors which include clogging of sebaceous glands, bacteria buildup and too much exposure to the sun. Although these types of skin irritations are very common, these can cause embarrassment and uneasiness to some people. Fortunately, they are some natural home remedies that can help get rid of acne, moles and blackheads. Although such claims are not approved by FDA, there are some people who have tried these remedies which supported that these claims are true and that they are effective.
Remedy #1: Lemon Juice, Rosemary Essential Oil, Sage Oil and Jojoba Oil for Acne
Melanie A. Sachs, author of “Ayurvedic Beauty Care,” you can use a mixture of lemon juice, rosemary essential oil, sage essential oil and jojoba oil in order to get rid of your acne.
To make a mixture, just combine 2 tbsp. of freshly squeezed lime juice, ½ tsp. rosemary essential oil, ½ tsp. sage essential oil and 6tbsp. jojoba oil in a small container with a tight fitting lid. You can shake or stir the mixture thoroughly in order to combine the ingredients well.
Using a clean cotton pad, apply a thin layer of the mixture onto your skin and let it stay for about 10 minutes after which you rinse the skin with cool water and use a mild and gentle cleanser prior to the application of your regular moisturizer. You can repeat the procedure daily unless it would not cause any irritation.
Remedy #2: Cumin Seeds, Apple Essential Oil and Avocado Oil for Moles
Author of “The Complete Book of Ayurvedic Home Remedies,” Vasant Lad, cumin seeds, apple essential oil and avocado oil can be used to apply on the skin in order to get rid of moles.
Simply combine ½ tsp. of cumin seed, ½ tsp. apple essential oil and 6 tsp. of avocado oil in a mortar and then crush the cumin seeds using the pestle until it forms a smooth paste. You can now apply the paste to the affected area and allot it to stay for about 10 minutes.
After the allowed time, you have to rinse it with clean, cool water then pat it dry with clean towel. Soap is not needed to wash the area unless it causes irritation on the skin. Unused portions can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Remedy #3: Honey, Sugar and Baking Soda for Blackheads
Jethro Kloss, the author of “Back to Eden: The Classic Guide to Herbal Medicine, Natural Foods, and Home Remedies since 1939,” recommends the use of honey, sugar and baking soda mixture to be applied to the skin in order to get rid of blackheads.
In a container, mix 2 tbsp. raw honey, 1 tbsp. sugar and 1 tbsp. baking soda. Gently massage a small amount of the mixture into your wet skin for about 30 seconds and then use cool water to rinse it off. Use a gentle cleanser for washing then apply a regular moisturizer.
Use this treatment every day unless irritation occurs. Left over portion can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days but remember to bring it back to room temperature before using it again to achieve best results.
